Agrospora launches outgrower programme for smallholder farmers in the Northern Region

Agrospora Industries Limited has launched its first outgrower programme, enrolling 400 smallholder farmers across the Northern Region for the 2026 growing season. The programme guarantees participating farmers a fixed, transparent price for their produce before planting begins.
Beyond guaranteed offtake, farmers receive agronomy training, improved seed and access to our logistics network — removing the middlemen that have historically squeezed farm-gate prices. Our field officers will work alongside each farming group from land preparation to harvest.
“When a farmer knows their harvest already has a buyer, they plant with confidence,” said our Head of Agro Production at the launch in Tamale. “This programme is how we grow — together with the people who feed Ghana.”
The programme begins with maize, rice and soy, and will expand to 1,000 farmers by 2027 as part of our wider commitment to responsible sourcing.
